I Had a Plan

Seriously, I did have a plan, but then . . .

My plan for today was to write something nice about a very fine television series that is streaming now. A remix of a classic and, indeed, this one just might be better than the original (which might have been better than the original source material). But I didn’t have time to do the job properly. A demo got in the way.

Not a “demo” as in a demonstration. Nope. Today’s “demo” was the first step in a demolition.

Below, I offer photographic evidence that demolition is officially in progress.

I respectfully ask for an incomplete for today’s assignment.

The Last Supper

The table was set for the last dinner prepared in the original kitchen in Hedgehog House.

A Bit of the Original

I didn’t do a good job of documenting the old kitchen, but here is one of the features, a pot rack that lived directly over the stove. A new pot rack is planned for the new kitchen and I will be sharing info about it.

The Kitchen Today

The empty space on the left is where the stove and pot rack once stood.

Today's work included cutting off all the services, removing the old appliances, and moving the refrigerator into the dining room.

A Promising Future

A look into the new addition. The archway used to frame a small dining nook, about five feet deep, with one window that looked toward the east.

Meanwhile, Back in the Dining Room

Soon, I hope, a temporary kitchen will be assembled from all this chaos.

In Other Developments

I also learned that I can fit a 30-inch x 80-inch door in Jane’s Honda Accord without moving the seats as far as possible and (ta-da) still be able to close the trunk lid!
